Secure Survey With Unique Password Per Respondent
Unique password per respondent is needed when you intend to send emails or letters by post to your respondent and want each respondent to fill in the unique password that is assigned to them. The password is unique for each respondent and is used to track and identify which of your contact have partially or successfully completed the survey.
In order use this feature, you need to make sure you have created a contact list where each contact has been given a unique password. Secure survey with unique password per respondent
- After you are successfully logged in, select the survey you want to update.
- Click on “Edit Survey”
- On “Step 1: Settings”, click on the “Advanced setting” checkbox to reveal the extra survey settings.
- Select the option “Unique password per respondent”. This will reveal some extra options.
- At this point it is expected that you already have prepared your contact list, and given each contact a unique password. If that is not the case, click on the “Create contact list” link to do so.
- Select the contact list from the dropdown option. Then click on the “Next” button to save changes.
How to test your unique password setup?
You will NOT be prompted to fill in a password when you are still logged in. Do the following to test your unique password setup:
- After you are successfully logged in, select the survey you want to test.
- Click on “Distribution”.
- Click on the “Copy survey link” button to copy the link to the survey
- Logout from your account OR open a different browser other than the one you are using.
- Past the survey in the location bar of your browser and press “Enter” on your keyboard.
- You will be prompted with a password screen before you can access the survey.
How to track unique password respondents
Before you can track a unique password respondent, you need to first setup your survey for unique password per respondents (Secure survey with unique password per respondent).
- After you are successfully logged in, select the survey you want to update.
- On the “Report” page, click on the “Tracking” button. Your will find an overview of your password tracking along with the contact list group it was sent to.
- Click on the password tracking row. This will take you to the respondent overview page, where you will see the response status of each contacts.
