A closing text appears at the end of your survey after respondents submit their answers.
It is your opportunity to thank participants, reinforce appreciation, and leave a positive final impression. A thoughtful closing message helps respondents feel valued and respected for their time.
For example you can say “Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Your responses help us improve and serve you better.”
The final screen of your survey is just as important as the first. A strong closing builds trust, strengthens brand credibility, and increases the likelihood that respondents will participate again in the future.
Go to your dashboard and select the survey you want to edit.
Click Edit to open the Survey Builder.
At the top of the Survey Builder, click Intro / Closing.
A panel titled Introduction and Closing will open on the right-hand side of the screen.
Locate the option labeled Enable Closing Action and check the box.
Once enabled, additional input fields will appear.
Find the Closing Behavior dropdown.
Click the dropdown and select Show Closing Text.
This ensures that respondents see your custom closing message after submitting the survey.
Below the dropdown, you will see an input field where you can enter your closing message.
Keep the message short, appreciative, and positive.
You can upload a closing image or logo to reinforce your branding like a company logo, a thankyou banner or a branded message graphic.
Adding an image can create a more polished and professional ending.
You will see a checkbox labeled Show Retake Survey Button.
If you check this box, respondents will see a Retake Survey button at the bottom of the closing page.
This allows participants to submit another response.
Click Save at the bottom of the panel.
This step is essential. If you do not click Save, your closing text and settings will not be applied.
Once saved, your closing message will appear immediately after respondents complete the survey.
They will see your thank-you message and any additional options you enabled, such as the retake button.
A well-written closing leaves respondents with a positive impression and increases the chances they will participate again in the future.
