The Kiosk Mode feature allows your survey to be completed multiple times on the same device. This is especially useful when you want several respondents to use one shared tablet, phone, laptop, or touchscreen device to submit their answers one after another.
Kiosk Mode is commonly used in places such as supermarkets, restaurants, reception desks, events, showrooms, clinics, and service counters where many people are invited to give quick feedback using a single device. Instead of allowing only one session on that device, Kiosk Mode makes it possible for each new respondent to complete the survey separately, making it ideal for high-traffic environments.
This feature is particularly helpful for customer satisfaction surveys, experience feedback forms, and short in-person evaluations. It helps you collect more responses in real time while keeping the process simple for respondents. In practical use, Kiosk Mode is best suited for surveys that are short, easy to understand, and intended for repeated use in a public or semi-public setting.
Because Kiosk Mode is designed for repeated submissions on one device, it cannot be used together with Save and Continue Later. The two features serve different purposes. Save and Continue Later is intended for respondents who need to pause and return later, while Kiosk Mode is intended for continuous back-to-back responses on the same device.
Note: Before you can enable Kiosk Mode, the Allow Save and Continue Later toggle must be turned off. If Save and Continue Later is enabled, Kiosk Mode cannot be activated.
Go to the survey you want to update from your dashboard and open it. At the top of the survey page, click the Edit button.
This will open the survey editor, where you can manage the survey content, preview, and settings. At the top of the editor, you will see the main controls used to customize how the survey works.
In the survey editor, click Settings.
The Survey Settings dialog box will open on the right-hand side of the screen. In this panel, you will see different settings sections that allow you to control how the survey behaves for respondents.
In the settings panel, scroll down until you reach the section called Behavior.
This section contains a number of toggles that affect how respondents interact with the survey. It is where you can enable or disable response-related features such as Kiosk Mode and other survey behavior options.
Under the Behavior section, find the Kiosk Mode toggle and switch it on.
Once enabled, the survey is configured for repeated use on a shared device. This makes it suitable for environments where one respondent completes the survey and the device is then handed to the next person for a new response.
After enabling Kiosk Mode, click Save Settings.
This saves the new survey behavior and applies the Kiosk Mode setting to that survey. Once saved, the survey is ready to be used in a kiosk-style setup.
When a respondent completes the survey and clicks Submit, a countdown screen appears on the device.
This screen informs the respondent that the device should be handed over to the next person. The countdown runs from 10 to 0, giving a short transition time before the survey is reset.
Once the countdown is complete, the survey automatically refreshes on the same device. This allows a new respondent to start answering immediately, or the same respondent to complete the survey again if needed. This automatic reset is what makes Kiosk Mode suitable for repeated use on a shared device.
