Scheduling your survey allows you to control exactly when it becomes available to respondents and when it stops collecting responses.
Instead of manually launching or closing your survey, you can define a start date and an end date in advance. This gives you full control over your survey timeline and ensures it aligns with your campaign, event, or data collection goals.
Proper scheduling improves organization, planning, and overall survey success.
Scheduling your survey is important because it:
Ensures responses are collected within a defined timeframe
Prevents late or outdated responses
Helps align surveys with campaigns, launches, or events
Creates urgency, which can improve response rates
Keeps data clean and time-relevant
For example:
If you are collecting feedback after a webinar, you may want the survey to close after 7 days.
If you are running a limited-time promotion, you may want the survey to open and close with the campaign.
If you are conducting academic research, you may need responses within a strict deadline.
Scheduling ensures your survey operates exactly within your intended timeframe.
Go to your dashboard and select the survey you want to schedule.
Click Edit to open the Survey Builder.
At the top of the Survey Builder, click Settings.
A dialog box will open on the right-hand side of the screen.
Locate the section labeled Survey Dates.
Under Survey Start Date, click the calendar icon.
Select the date and time you want your survey to become available to respondents.
Once the start date and time are reached, your survey will automatically open for responses.
Under Survey End Date, click the calendar icon.
Select the date and time you want your survey to stop accepting responses.
After this time, respondents will no longer be able to submit answers.
After selecting your preferred dates, click Save Settings.
Once saved your survey will automatically start and end at the selected start date and time and you do not need to manually activate or deactivate it.
